Second Language Acquisition is a field that has recently gained a lot of academic attention. It is important for educators and our students to understand that acquiring a second language is different from what we go through to acquire our first language, regardless of age. This website offers a very basic look at second language acquisition, and a little bit of the theory that drives modern approaches to teaching second languages.
